Phone Number
We collect your phone number for authentication purposes. Your phone number is:
- Hashed using SHA-256 encryption before storage
- Used only to send magic login links via SMS
- Never shared with third parties
- Never used for marketing purposes
Story Content
Your personalized romance stories and chat conversations are:
- Stored locally in your browser using localStorage
- Associated with your account when you purchase credits
- Never accessed by our staff or shared with third parties
- Completely private and only accessible by you
Payment Information
When you purchase credits:
- Payment processing is handled securely by Stripe
- We never store your credit card information
- We only receive and store transaction IDs and purchase amounts
- Your billing email is stored for transaction records
How We Use Your Information
- Authentication: To verify your identity and provide access to your account
- Service Delivery: To generate personalized romance stories based on your input
- Account Management: To track your credits and unlocked chapters
- Customer Support: To respond to your inquiries and resolve issues
- Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws and regulations
AI and Content Generation
Your stories are generated using Claude AI via OpenRouter API:
- Your prompts and stories are sent to OpenRouter for AI processing
- OpenRouter processes requests according to their privacy policy
- Generated content is immediately returned to you and not retained by the AI service
- We use caching to improve performance but never share cached content between users
Data Storage and Security
- User accounts are stored using Cloudflare Durable Objects
- Authentication tokens are signed using HMAC-SHA256
- All data transmission occurs over encrypted HTTPS connections
- Phone numbers are hashed before storage - we cannot reverse the hash
- Session cookies are httpOnly and secure
Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at alexis@romancegenerator.com.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Cloudflare: For hosting and data storage
- Stripe: For payment processing
- OpenRouter/Anthropic: For AI story generation
